Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
The part number you provided comes up blank on the online parts data base. I have part # M63341 for the top sprocket and # M63342 for the bottom. I should have one of each, but would like you to confirm the number of teeth on the ones you have. $15 plus shipping for a used set.
Thanks....Terre

Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
Terre, the numbers come up for the track drivers.
Your best bet at this point would be aftermarket, I think Adam just ordered a set for his so I will see if he has the part numbers from wherever he got his.

Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
Track drivers is correct. I was looking on the DK website and they have some that may work, I'll have to do some checking.

Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
Nice catch Scott. I don't know how I missed that one, he had sprockets right in his post.
Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
Upon further investigation, it appears all that is currently commercially available is hex shaft drivers. My guess is Adam ran a boring bar through a set of these and made them fit an 1 1/8" shaft.... Its a pretty good option if you have access to a lathe.

Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
Ok, let me try this again. I am wondering if someone can help me find part #am52563 for a 800. According to the john deere online parts lookup for the 800 it is called a "wheel", for the jdx's with slides it is a #52913 and called a "drive sprocket". It is the wheels or drive sprocket or whatever you want to call it that is made of plastic and slides on the shaft that drives the track. Sorry for the confusion in my original post.

Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
Lots of different brands of sleds used these same drivers.
A local swap meet would be a good place to check.
I am sure they are out of production for aftermarket sources but there maybe some gathering dust on dealer shelves.
Other wise there is always used.

Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
Thank you Todd, I guess I will have to find a NOS or a used one. I love these old sleds, but sometimes I think it would be easier to stick my tractor restoration hobby (easier to find parts). I am seriously thinking about cleaning house and selling my sleds.

Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
Talked with Adam today. He only bought a set for the Cyclone and we did have to bore them to fit. As far as matching them up to aftermarket really all you have to do is go by the number of teeth and shaft diameter, as all 2.52 drivers are the same diameter when they use the same number of teeth. I know he did have to re drill the holes for bolting the drivers onto the axle.

Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
I will have to get her tore down, the track driver come out in 3 pieces while I had it running in shop with the track off the ground (after a carb rebuild). I tried to fit old pieces together to get a shaft diameter but not working so well.

Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
I can not count the number of times this has happened to me.
You finish the project and are running it on the stand or out on the first shake down run and the drivers explode.
While it is rare with some brands it is all to common with Cats.
40 year old polymires can be an issue under load.
I have bought some cheap at swap meets, like $10 each. Aftermarket newer ones that are not spyder cracking.

Re: John Deere 800 drive sprocket
Unfortunately, this seems to usually be the case when it comes to the white nylon drivers used on the bogie tracks. I usually replace them with a good set of used black drivers from a 76-77 Liquifire or Cyclone. I think i have a spare set here. I'll have to take a look in the morning. You're close enough you could probably come get them....
