295/s
295/s
Yesterday I found a 295/s at a wrecking yard. The sled is missing the motor and skis. Now I am not into these sleds, but I would hate to see it go for scrap, is this worth salvaging? What would a fair price be for a 295/s?

Re: 295/s
Most any 295/s is worth salvaging. As far as price - a lot of variables on what's all there, suspension, etc. Got a picture?

Re: 295/s
Definitely worth saving. Fair price depends on condition. There are members here looking for 295/S parts. My self included.
Old sleds are hours of entertainment.... then you get to ride them for a little bit.
Re: 295/s
Unfortunately I don't have pictures, I am going back in two weeks for other sleds and parts, I will take pictures then. I just want a ball park figure. I don't think the owner is going to be in business much longer, and if I don't grab it now it will go for scrape metal. I also don't want to tick the owner off by offering him peanuts.

Re: 295/s
Thanks matt, that is the info I am looking for, the pipe is still there. I know a guy with a 295/s pipe on his parts shelf, what is it worth? Tasky, the dance can be the best part! Lol, I just don't want to go into this blind, pay 10 times what its worth and end up with something that is worthless.

Re: 295/s
Are you sure its a 295s? The 800 pipes are similar in appearance. I could be mistaken but I think the cans are harder to find then the pipes them selves. As far as value goes hopefully someone will chime in here.

Re: 295/s
It will be interesting to see what suspension it has. The earliest had boogies, then there was an optional parirail and from 74 on were slide.
