Sorry Earl, they're totally different animals. However, it sure seems the Kohler parts are much easier to find (maybe because I'm always looking for 295/S parts). Good luck....

Earl,
The 295/s engine was used only in that sled and most of the parts are unique to the engine. Only some general Kioritz and CCW parts will work on it (fan parts, etc). Kioritz engines were Japaneese based, whereas Kohlers were from Canada (US based Company though). So tell us about your 295/s... owned it long? Condition? Good luck!

Earl,
I wish I knew where to go for parts. Parts for these are hard to come by because they are pretty unique. You may end up combining the tow you have!? Just keep looking and you may stumble across some. As for info, what are you looking for? I'd say look for an operator's manual, parts book and service manual as they are pretty good sources.

The 295/s is pretty much the same as any JDX except When it comes to the eng almost nothing interchanges with a more common sled. Track are the same as a 74 and up JDX, 76-78 liquifires and cyclones. Rings for this eng can be found but pistons are hard to come by.

DKtrader had some on ebay awhile back. Parts normally are few and far between on ebay but there are deals to found.

well everything from the /1,2,3,4,5 morots will physically bolt up, and can be made to work. Mine has worn pistons and cylinders so it may get a set of 440/5 jugs that are brought to 295/rs2 port specs, i'll post more when i get home from break and can look at stuff better
