looking for a Carb Kit for '74 JD 300 Sled

Post by 140deere »

Picked up a '74 JD 300 Sled this weekend. Has good compression and spark, I have seen cab kits for sale online but want to know were you all have the best luck getting the kit? The motor is a k295-2Ax with Waldbro carb.... I can't find the model # on the carb itself is just says Waldbro on it.... so should I just assume the carb is a WBD-31? Or can someone post a pic of were I can find the model #. and were the best place to buy a carb kit is? Thanks! :beers;

Yes, I have the gasket kits in stock - it is the same kit for all the JD Walbro carbs (except maybe '72 models), so it doesn't matter what model it is. However it should have the model number on the flange where the carb bolts to the manifold, facing up. It is probably covered in crud.

I also have fuel line, filters, and the in-tank fuel pickup/check valve you need.

The diaphragms and gaskets are the same for '72 as the others. But, the manifold gasket has a smaller bore.
