Anybody repoping the shafts for the 78 skids? Looking to finish up some of my half finished projects. Thanks.

Nick, are you referring to the inside shafts with the threaded holes? If so, I just have them reproduced here in a local shop.

Yes I am Don. They are the ones that are always stuck in the arms, right? These are just for the stock skid, not the cross country? Thanks.

Nick, can you grab some measurements on those shafts? I might be able to help.

Nick, I have the same shafts in everything, not just race sleds. Keep it simple is my motto. Take Matt up on his offer, you won't regret it. Hope things are well looking forward to seeing you one of these days. I'll be your way first of August but in Canada.

Talked to matt this weekend. How much interest is there in get a full set of shafts for the whole suspension repoped? Would you want it in alum again or should they be made out of steel? Lets hear it guys, whats you opinions.

I make my own and always use Stainless Steel stock.

The ones we have machined ourselves, (in the drill press) we have made out of aluminum simply because its easier for us to work with. The ones i have machined at the shop i have made out of mild steel. A good coat of wheel bearing grease prior to installation, and i know these won't be a problem for a long time.
