Jacket/Vest

Post by Matt »

I bought these last week at Boonville. I shouldn't have, they are medium so they don't fit me, but I thought the jacket was cool and none of us there remember seeing it before. I also thought it was neat that they came in their original John Deere retail bags.

Any idea what year these were from? The vest does not actually have a John Deere label, so maybe it's not really genuine, but there is a label for it on the bag with a JD part number.

The coat if I remember is in the 1977 sales brochure/Liquifire.
Not sure on the vest, could be same time period.

Matt I also have a vest like that, was always wondering if it was really JD clothing or not.

1977, thanks guys!

Now that I think about it, it makes sense that the vest does not have a JD tag at the normal spot, since it's reversible and it would end up on the outside. If anyone wants these, shoot me a PM.
