300 flooding

Post by GreenSpeed »

Hi,
I'm not familiar with the walbro carbs, and I can't get my 300 (Walbro WDB-31) to stop flooding. It pops right off and then floods in 2-3 seconds. I can close the idle needle and it still floods. Is a new carb kit a good place to start? If so, where can I get one - I checked Ebay - none. Some of the catalogs list a kit, but I'm not sure if it's the right one. Thanks again for your help, John

The kits are readily available from alot of places and it never is a bad idea to rebuild an old walbro. Sounds like 1 of 2 possible problems the inlet needle is stuck open or the metering lever is misadjusted.

Thanks for the help. Are the kits the same for all Walbro's?

Yes, your WDB Walbro is covered under the most popular repair kit.
part number 300-719

Central Snowmobile has them at $32.90 for the genuine full kit.
A diaphram only kit is just $8.95
