I've got a 600 that keeps blowing the piston on the side farthest from the fan. I've replaced the piston 3 times in three years and the pot once. Can anyone tell me if this is a heat problem unique to the 600 or possibly a fuel problem?

It sounds to me like you have a lean condition. Did you ever check the conditon of the crank seal on that side. I would replace it. You should also do a pressure test outlined in the FAQ section.

Like Harley said Id almost gaurantee you have a bad crank seal. The clutch side always seems to be the 1st to go. If your gonna change the seal do the mag side also. Seals are alot cheaper than pistons.
