Someone put a large motocross shock on this. They took off the aluminum shaft that holds the stock shock and used the shock mount on the front swing arm. It sits a little higher and the suspension is loose and actually has decent travel.

No trick to the shock. It is simply the proper length between the shock mounts and bolted on.
