Re: craigslist sprintfire for someone
I have no idea what a Sprintfire, whether a 82,83, or 84 should look like, but doesn't some of them have tunnel striping? This one doesn't but the one on the model page has beautiful stripes.

Re: craigslist sprintfire for someone
Maybe Joe or Robb can answer this question? Why is it that the direct drive sleds Spit,Sprint, and Snow have the rigid tunnels? I was guessing for rigidness?? Not sure if that question ever came up,but prolly has in the past?

Re: craigslist sprintfire for someone
How about this Sprint? A little suspicious as I don't see a S/N tag on the side but somebody will inquire I am sure.

Re: craigslist sprintfire for someone
As far as the ridges on the tunnel, it's an easy way to add structural rigidity without adding weight. A flat surface has way less strength than a curved surface.

Re: craigslist sprintfire for someone
Hi Guys,
Robb is right, the stamped raised ribs on the Sprintfire is a low cost method to add strength without using a thicker material. Many new sleds do this now.
As for that low mileage Sprint, that is a pretty cool find. Too bad it's still not in the crate, as I would be making a midnight run north this weekend...
