What other Kawasaki engine cylinders, heads, CDI, etc are directly compatable with the T 440 A engine? Example wwill a T1C 440 S2A cylinder work on the T 440 A engine?
Thank you

Re: T 440 A Compatabilty
In short, all T-1 motors (Panther, 72 EXT, Trailfire, Drifter 340, Spitfire, etc) use the same base gasket, so the jugs should also all interchange. The T-7 based motors (Sportfire, Liquifire, 440 Drifter, Invader, Intruder) also used the same base gasket and should interchange with one another.
This includes Kawi motors dating back to 71-75 on Cat's, 77-82 Kawi sleds and 79-84 Deere's.
I am not sure which style the T 440 A is without taking a look. Plus there are other consideration since T-1's could be fan or FA, twin or triple even. The T-7's were built in fan, FA and Liquid cooling. Early motors has points, and center seal issues, while later versions had a dynamic center seal and CDI ignitions. Not sure if the CDI will bolt into the older bottom ends without inspecting them.
Later versions of both T-1 and T-7's were oil injected, but the LC versions and the Kawi Intruder used a jackshaft type set up to drive them, while Sport and Trailfires has the pumps mounted on the recoil.
I hope this helps,
-Joe
