WTB - JDX8 Tube Assemblies

Post by johnnycyclone »

I'm looking for a 2 wheel and a 3 wheel bogie wheel tube assembly for my 73 X8. I don't need the wheels, but I do need one good set of springs to go with the tube assemblies. They look like the ones in the picture, just not bent. Shipping would be to 48131.

Thanks....Terre

The online parts book shows the same part numbers for both, so they should be the same. Pm me a price including shipping.

My favorite part is Terre is STILL in the vintage sled business. I had thought that we lost you so I'm happy to see you here again.

Thanks Don, I appreciate it. I never even considered quitting, but I certainly needed a break. After 5 years, and 6 sleds, I was feeling a little burned out. I don't have any room for storage, and so having really nice restored sleds wasn't working out for me, and so that is the main reason for selling. I would love to have a couple of them back right now, having 8" of snow, but I just don't have the room. Taking the summer off was rejuvenating, and I got a lot of work done around the house that needed to get done. So I am easing myself back into it with the X8 and the Liquifire I picked up from Ed. I have some plans for next summer, but nothing like I have done in the past, maybe just a couple of nice riders, just to enjoy for what they are. Thanks again, and I will see you at the Toledo show next fall, maybe with a sled to show.

Terre good to see you back. Remember I am just a phone call away from your next project. :lol22: I have been burned out for quite sometime and dang near ready to hang it up. I just get sick of hearing all the do's and don'ts of vintage sleds and grown men acting like teenage drama queens. :bonk: Anywho enough rambling Great that your back. :usa: We missed you at the 2013 honda east show. Hope to see you there this coming year. :usa:

Ps good to hear you prolly scratched some things off your "honey do" list around the house. :lol22:

Thanks Rob, it never felt like I had left. I was still visiting my favorite site on a daily basis, to get my Jd sled fix. I had the X8 out back, saving it for when I could get back out in the garage, and I have still been looking for more sleds. I just took a little time off from the garage and liquidated my sleds, needed the money to buy a bike. So the break is over and I am spending most nights in the garage again. I have some plans for the summer, so I am positive we will see you in Toledo, I still have your Snowfire pan to deliver. I'm feeling better now that I have my obsessive compulsive disorder under control. No more worrying about having the perfect sled, just some nice clean riders. It's a daily battle, but right now I am winning!
