77 Liquifire starting rope guide

Post by ljm »

Hi

I'm working on a 77 340 Liquifire

Does anyone know what size nut I need for the rope guide in the right hand side panel?

JD parts lists the nut to hold the guide in the panel as part number M67682.

Can anyone tell me what will work?

Might it be a straight pip thread? or ????

Thanks

Lloyd, it's just a stamped metal nut. Probably can be found at a hardware with a nice selection of boxed items. Would also guess someone here on the board will have an extra too. Don't think I do though.

Thanks

I have checked my supply of nuts etc. I haven't found one with the right thread.

Even I knew the size and thread. I'm sure I could find/make one

Just happens to be the same nut that holds the disc openers on the corn planter
