It's cool to hear my sled put a TXL in its place!I will say that sled really does go like a bat out of hell. Talk about a dependable little sled too. I've never once regretted bringing that sled home with me from Waconia that year!TASKY wrote:I would have to say 82-84 Liquifire due to some very informal racing experiences. 3 friends of mine lined up on a lake 1 Liquidator, 1- 76 440 Trailtwister 1- 84 Liquifire. It was pretty even off the line. At about 500 ft it was between the Trailtwister and the Liquifire. The Liquifire started to pull away from the Trailtwister at around 1200 feet (maybe tr800 overdrive magic had something to do with this). I am pretty sure we were around 75mph give or take. The Liquidator really was not that far behind but was clearly out of the race.
Another astonishing lake race was between a 77 440 Liquifire (that now belongs to 80spitfire) and a Polaris 340TXL. That TXL put up a good fight but was being left slowly on the top end.
These sleds were what I would call stock trailrider type sleds. We repeated these linups several times just because thats what friends do. Take it for what it is.
