Trailfire Exhaust pipe

Post by mfd1221 »

I hit a culvert today and ruined my exhaust pipe. I am assuming that the sportfire pipe am54758 which is a different part number than the one listed for my trailfire-am54740-will not work? Does anyone know if they will interchange? Thanks For the help Jim C

Its a 440 but according to the parts book i have they should be the same for 340 or 440. I ordered a used one off ebay i found since we have snow here i was kinda in a hurry to ride before the snow disappears. Thanks for the response, Jim C :beers; :beers;

Jim,

I think the Sportfire and Trailfire use the same pipe, but the similar looking Liquifire unit is significantly different in tuning.

Liquifire mufflers have an "L" welded on the rear topside above the outlet. They will not interchange with the others.
