WTB Slide Rail Cap 78 Liquifire

Post by nothingbutadeere »

It seems as though I busted the slide rail end cap on my 78 Liquifire when I put it away in the spring :bonk: Is there an aftermarket piece that is comparable or does anyone have an extra they would like to sell?

Finally got the 78 Liquifire out of the garage and and started it up. After 10 pulls she is humming like a well oiled machine, until I gave it some gas and the track would not turn. So I looked under the hood....nothing, looked under at the track and behold.......here lies the issue.

It seems as thought I busted the slide rail cap somehow when I put it away for summer storage and the slide rail went through the hole in the track :bonk: . Now my question is....is there a replacement available out there? Or, does anyone have one for sale?

It certainly needs to be on there, But I'm not so sure that is All of your problem, unless the hyfax jumped out of the rail & IF SO why, I don't think the track/cleats should have caught it??
You also might want to ck for other problems along with the missing cap??

I agree with Kenny.

The cap's function is not to hold the hyfax on the rail.

Something else has happened here.
