Am I the only one that is getting a little tired of the fear mongering over cold air. The negative temperature "game" in the media probably pulls in viewers, but at what expense. At some point people just become numb... not from the cold, but from the media's "I can top that game". So, in the spirit of the "game"
a suggested headline that would end the race to the bottom ***ABSOLUTE ZERO** **WIND SPEED TO EXCEED INFINITY***. Imagine the wind-chill factor...

On a more John Deerey note. Here in Ohio we're partying like it's 1978!! Viva John Deere!

-24 today here in MN...before windchill and not that much snow...can't a guy just have 30 and tons of snow???

Having sold all my ride able sleds, I knew we would get lots of snow, and so far the weather hasn't let me down. Looks like another 6-10" today and tonight, on top of the 6" we just got. Next year I will have 2 sleds ready to ride, which means we won't be getting any snow. So I say, enjoy it while you can Tom, we won't have any next year.

To go along with your temperature comment. They had a big run on the local Kroger's last night in fear of the big storm. They pretty much emptied the shelves and for what, a few inches of snow? I think people are getting real soft. They never would have survived the winter of 1978.

I'll second that Tom. Over the last day they had us forecasted firmly in the 8-12" zone. Then it became 6+.....then 3 to 6". Which will probably turn into a dusting with freezing rain.

Wish I had a job where I could be wrong everyday and it would be deemed as ok.

Hey Ed that looks like some beautiful country up there. Down here where we have more roads and less country do ya know what the nice thing about a county wide level 3 snow emergency is?

Every field looks like breakers on a beach. Very crisp and solid. Good air going with the waves. Not so much going against them!
