Are pistons in 440ccw engines interchangeable? For example can I take a 500 piston and put it in a 600? If not why?
Thanks
Can I put a Piston from a JD500 in a JD600?

The 500 and 600 pistons used in the KEC-440 and KEC-440/5 WILL interchange.
But the 440ccw engines are different from each other.
KEC-440 and KEC-440/5 are piston port engines and use the same piston. There is no left or right. They will work in either cylinder. They use a 18mm wrist pin. The timing port window is centered under the wrist pin.
KEC-440/21 is a reed valve engine. It uses a 16mm wrist pin and the port timing window location is different than used on the piston ported engines. They are turned slightly from the wrist pin hole. There is a left and a right piston.
KEC-440/22 and KEC-440/23LC are reed valve engines. The 22 is air cooled the 23 is liquid cooled. They use a 18mm wrist pin and the pistons between these two engines will interchange. The port timing window is also turned slightly. There is a left and a right.

That answers my question very well, thanks.
