Sprintfire Track

Post by T White »

Hi Guys,

I'm going to re-cleat my spare Sprintfire track, is it OK to use aluminum pop rivets or do I need to use steel.

Thanks

Hi Tom,

I would not use aluminum. Although Cat used pop rivits, Deere always used solid steel rivets originally. Many of us use the "threaded rivets" that should still be available. You can get them with the same size head, but with a threaded body and lock nut. My second choice to those would be a high strength steel rivet. A pneumatic rivet gun makes installing those a snap.

I hope this helps,
