Drive Sproket Bolt

Post by nothingbutadeere »

Does anyone know what size bolt is used to secure the drive sprocket to the drive shaft?

I must have lost one some time ago and the other one finally decided it had enough and wanted to leave too  The holes are in good shape and don't show any signs of rounding out or abnormal wear.

M63678 was the cap screw that retained the drive sprocket on a lot of models.

I have some NOS ones here with the plastic dot in the threads, I believe they are the correct bolt.
They are 3/8" dia X 1 1/8" long.

I was able to use a 5/16" x 3" cap screw and a locking nut, with washers of course.

I used the same ones that were in the axle plus a little blue threadlock.
