I replaced the Throttle cable and the carb boot on my 78 Spitty today. Now the hood rests on top of the throttle cable above the carb, and wont shut compleatly. The carb boot I removed was angled the replacement is straight. I felt the straight carb boot would help with the air box fitment. It seams the airbox hole was to high with the angled carb boot. My question is wich boot is correct for the 78 spitty? or maybe the airbox is not correct for the angled carb boot?

Would a throttle cable with a 90 deg angled fitting provide the clearence needed?

I should have mentioned that. The cable dose have a 90 degree bend.

It is supposed to have the angle carb flange. I have not been able to find a new replacement.
