76 CYCLONE 340 ENGINE
i've got a 76 Cyclone 340 (ser. no. under 55,000) that has a Kioritz 340/5 engine. Is this original or is this out of a JDX6? The engine mount is probably original but new holes have been drilled for proper placement/alignment of the present 340 engine. I thot the 76 Cyclones had the 340/22's?

Correct, the 340 cyclone engine is a KEC -340 / 22 reed valve engine.

I think you have the wrong motor in your Cyclone. If it is Piston Port it most likely came out of a JD400 or maybe a JDX4 Special. It may still work just fine. It just did not come from the factory that way.
