How did you seize 7 engines in one day?

Didn't this have the team a bit discouraged about the reliability of the sled, and the team's chances of having much success ?

What was done to improve the situation?

My Dad tells the story best....happened before the Balsam Lake Classic, you could find my father's shop by following the trail of Liquidators across the lake, a Deere factory manager insisted that there was no way to burn his 700 mile personal sled down, I rode it 500 feet and seized it solid...tough to be chipper that day for anyone with a green jacket on! Ask Bob to tell the story at the HOF, I still get a kick out of how mad he get's 30 years later! Best Jon

It's going to be fun....full time job here just answering the phone and email, have advised my Dad, which I seldom do to lay off the coffee, he's getting pretty wound up....may be devising a strategy to get Deere back in sleds or something to that effect. Best Jon
