I have decided to sell this 1983 Sportfire. I just bought it in a moment of weakness. I have always liked JD sleds but I just don't have the time for another project.
The engine was locked up. I have been soaking it in PB blaster and I can now move it with the clutch. It is still pretty tight and will likely need at least rings.
It is in good shape cosmetically, there are a few chips in the hood, but no cracking.
The seat is in very good shape but it is brown. I have been told that is not original, but it is a nice seat cover.
The rear rack has a few cracks in the plastic.
The track looks good.
The odometer shows 948 miles.
I will be happy to send more pictures if anyone wants them.

The sled is located 25 miles south of Rockford Il.
