Those hoods are interesting. Liquifires did not have a vent behind the windshield on the left side like those, but they did have a vent on the right side, so they cannot be stock LF hoods. Trailfires and Sportfires have vents on both sides through 83, but pictures in the 84 literature are a bit inconclusive. Hmmmm........

Looks to me like what you have are '84 Trailfire and Sportfire hoods. Both my '84 Sportfires have only one vent on the left side.

I thought that might be the deal. The one literature picture of any help was of an 84 TF appearing to only have the left hand vent. Interesting how Deere changed that for the last model year.

Wow great ideas guys!!! So why is one black then.....? It's original paint!!! Could we have some kind of last weirdly done 84 stuff. No part numbers or anything. They came out of an old building with an inch of dust on each. Bought out from an old Deere dealer. Still have burs on hole openings where no pins or anything have been through

Based on the picture matt has on the sight for an 83 sportfire with only one grille on the PTO side my conclusion is that its a NOS 83 Sportfire hood....feel free to debate me lol.

I am also gonna say that the silver one is for an 83 trailfire. Once again correct me if I'm wrong based on Matt's pics

I looked at my sleds again, and the silver one would be for 83 and 84 Trailfires, and the black for 83 and 84 Sportfires. The Sportys had black hoods in 83 and 84. I think they changed the openings to better pull the warm air out since it exits the engine on that side.

*I am considering letting these go individual or as a pair. I would like to offer them to the crowd here first before they would go public. A few of you have already expressed interest, I did have to pay up for these and did not at all get them cheap.
