Morning....just some thoughts, If you like Racing, check out Robby Gordons website on Team USA's quest to win the Lisbon to Dakar race...6 thousand miles of the toughest conditions off-road in the world...My son was the 13th member of the team last year...video is cool as well as Robby's equipment. A very cool 340/s was Joel Herrings sled from Bismarck, He led day one in the Winnepeg, his sled had the Flying Tiger's P-40 shark jaws on the pan and hood, any pic's floating around are bound to be special on this sled....I think I'm right on Joel, his sled ect., Ed Kruel from the Horicon race program also has a beatiful 340/s that I believe is 1 of possibly 3 survivors from the Crookston factory race program, pretty sure it is Craig Knutson's.....the 3rd 340/s that I'm sure is a survivor is a friend of mines here on the site, but I won't steal his debute of this sled,.. Ed Kruel built a X series sled fo I tested with my dad over the Xmas of 74, it had a dual carb 440 Kohler Sunburst head F/A in it ....cool sled. Loren Anderson has asked me to create a 5 minute video for the HOF banquet on Deere, Bob, racing, ect....thinking of the music backgound to start with Hell's Bells and end in Gimme Shelter....any video clips out here would be great, alot of cutting and pasting, already know Kirk Hiberts is going to be good, so we gotta compete! Going to do some hats for all of us at the HOF...they will be cool! Lot's of activity here in Moorseville NC, all the Nascar teams in a 20 mile radius getting ready for 07,finally interesting Rich's thoughts on some threads about his collecting, as I am going to focus more on historical sleds, rather than sleds I liked or raced against, and on a Liquidator note the largest single 1 day payout for a win was Bob Enn's win at Park Rapids Eagles 200, Bob's ETD Liquidator earned him close to $10k that day with contingecy....that would buy almost 2 Corvettes at the local chevy dealer back in the day....Best Jon

Yes...that would be a very historical sled, deep pockets aside, historical sleds are going to continue to gain value.....Sounds like you got that Duramax on overdrive the last 2 weekends, close to rivaling the Rainville Depot, I'm sure that the parts are indexed, bin located and and loaded in the Michigan system as I write . Good going!

Rich that is a great story, I am a big admirer of the first Indy as they gave us such a leap forward in everything.....your thread on the prototypes was excellent on VS.com, they were incrediable to race along side, The last battle (Unfought ) due to no snow was the 80 Liquifire against the 80 Indy at Winnepeg, of course the detune kit ect.And as mentioned I have 1 0f 2 of those sleds in my collection Thanks Jon
