Loren has reported on the VSCA site, that he has 25 JD guys signed up.

:D

Now, I wrote: "one of the JDSleds.com gang" on the bottom of the app I sent in.
But I do wonder how he knows for everyone else.

Hey Matt, A year ago, who'da thunk we'd be part of the "Jon Carlson group"

I will call you tomorrow Brian, I think I am going to pull the plug on my trailer option till this can be resolved when the $$ is flowing good. I will be borrowing a car trailer instead which is a done deal, waiting to here back on the car trailer right now about the loading ramps on it.

As far the the sled registration I have been told by a fellow person here at work that goes to Eagle River every year and races his Thundercat that the registrations are not needed from your home state to get a Wisconsin trail pass.......?? The only option to be sure is that in Illinois you have to fill out a Dept of Natural Resources form, then send it in to the state Capitol in Springfield, Illinois. Then they will send you the sticker in the mail. I have been told that if you keep a copy of the applied registration in your wallet that this is all you need, the people in Springfield moved about as slow as frozen molasses. The price in Illinois for 2 sleds is $36.00. Can anyone agree with this?

Paul

As far as I know, evidence of applied registration is good in WI, at least it is for in-state sleds. My book doesn't go into that much detail.

BTW, race sleds do not have to be registered in WI. ( if they are being raced not trail ridden )

Hi guys.......from the names we have here in the office already and the guys that Jon Carlson has talked with and know they are coming, we are guessing it to be 25 JD for the vintage group in which Jon and Robert will be riding. This group will have green bibs and if it goes over 30 they will go to another color and maybe another group. The guides do not like that many in a group if we can avoid it.

Go to the SHOF web site and to our links page and then to the St. Germain Chamber for more motels if you are having trouble....or call our Chamber office. I am Chamber president so tell them I said to take good care of you.....I sign their checks ! ! !

See you on the 22nd of Feb in the world center of snowmobiling.

Paul, I'm in the same situation. It is going to cost me way to much to get registered & titled in PA just to get a trail pass in WI. PITA.
