I friend of mine saved me a pair of 84 Trailfire's from a local scrap yard. He knows I collect John Deere's. Turns out they are consecutive serial numbers. #99 and #100. They got moved around at the scrap yard and are pretty beat up. One has a puncture hole in the left side of the tunnel. Decide to get started on #100, the better of the two. I got all the steel stripped down and ready to go to the sandblaster. Not sure it will happen, but I was hoping to have it ready before the ride of the champs this year.... maybe. They are both pretty complete minus the seats and some minor things. I do have a seat for one, and some other odds and ends. Will be needing a few things.

Yea Eric that trailer has seen its better days too. Its not mine though. My trailer is much nicer than this one pictured, and the flat tire is on the other side.

Jerry,
Nice save on the 84's. Your friend did you a "solid" on that score. I think Deere only build 350 of them for 84. Good luck with your resto. I posted on Bamber's classified that I found a few Trailfire NOS parts in the barn like the fan tower, fan cover, huge fan duct clamp, air boxes, hood guides, air hose bracket, etc. Holler if I can be of service.
