Heat Deflector WTB

Post by 400brian »

Guys

The X8 project is in need of the heat deflector / firewall . Good used is fine as long as it is unmodified, cut, bent, etc. Part numbers : AM53025 and AM53026. Must be off a '73-75 reed inducted sled.

thanks

No, the piston ported engines have the carb mounted higher, and the opening in the deflector matches that.
There were three slightly different deflectors: one for the Kohler powered sleds, one for the piston ported, and one for the reed inducted Kioritz engines.

How about this one? This is from a 74 or 75 JDX. It has a place for the coils and CDI.

A quick look on JDParts.com indicates there were a couple more versions than I thought.

295/S and the one pictured above, which appears to be for a late 400 ( with CDI obviously ).
