kohler 295 2ax online manual

Hi,

I took apart my engine to see why it wasn't running very well and I believe a service manual may help me. Would anyone know of an online manual?

If that is not possible, would anyone know how much I should tighten the bolts for the cylinder heads?

You took apart your motor because it wasnt running right? Did you do any testing prior to disassembly? Eric, I still consider myself a newbie even though I have alot of posts, but troubleshooting first can save you alot of time and $$. I like $$ in my pocket unlike ................"deep pockets" who doesnt

....... I would check and keep an eye on e-bay. I am also sure someone here will give you the torque specs soon. Good luck.

Just wanted to clarify, I had a leaking gasket so that is where my troubleshooting has led me.

not uncommon. head bolts if they are the usual 5/16 or metric equavalent are 16 ft pounds you can go to 20 if you wish. tighten in opposite sequence. and always go around again after you tighten once. funny thing is beside me in drawer is a nos gasket set for that engine. original kohler with deere number on it.

Theres service manuals on ebay right now.Should be able to get one for that engine for under $15.00.I picked one up last year. Its a page by page photo copy,But everythings there. Search kohler service manual.
