Liquifire Carbs

Post by jynx »

Hi, I'm new here. Does anyone know what carbs will work on a 1980 liquifire 440? Might pick one up for $100 if I can find the carbs...

I split this post off the other one and moved it to the correct forum.

They originally had Mikuni VM36 Powerjet carbs. Non-power jet carbs will be easier to find, but the original jetting specs won't work.

It is my understanding(but I could be wrong) when changing over to a "non power-jet" carb, the pilot jet would be the same but add the main jet size and the power jet size together and that will equal the main jet for a non-powered carb for your application.
