Rear Running Light Not Working (80 Liquifire)
The rear running light on my 1980 JD Liquifire does not work. Headlight on Low and High and also the brake light works, but not the rear running light. I checked the filaments and even swapped the bulb. Still no running light. Has anyone encountered this before, and if so what have you done to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a bad light fixture. I have had a similar issue with a good tail light but no brake light. Replaced the entire fixture and both worked with the original bulb.

As Pat mentioned those sockets can go bad.
Use a test light or a volt meter with the engine at idle.
Remember that you are looking for 9-12 AC volts, not DC.
Another place to find a problem is in the wires that run under the seat.
I have found a few where the wood has rubbed through one of the wires.
And mice snacking under the dash/consel may have severed the wire for the tail light.
