I think the bigger question is:

How did you get part of the crank apart with the engine together? It should be tightly pressed together. If it was lose that's not going to be a good thing.

80 Liquifire (purchased 2011 ~ Not running - I officially have a problem now)
83 Snowfire (purchased 2014 father/son restoration project)
78 Spitfire ~ sold (should have been shot for this)

Well you see there was something wrong with the engine and I may have found the problem. When I work on replacing the orings and crankseals ill have to see whats up.

Yes...the crank pin should be pressed into the flyweight. I doubt a crank shop can do much with that. Besides a good used crank might be cheaper.

Find a good used one and rebuild her.

I know just plan on putting my time and money in the Liquifire I just got. Dustin has a crank for me just have to get the money.

Picked up a parts sled today for $50 came with a motor that runs ill have this project up and going again.
