1977 Cyclone 440 crankshaft

Post by GlenBainSK »

Hay there everyone. My name is Frank, and Im new to this board. However, im not new to the love of JD snowmobiles. I have a '77 440 cyclone that has shot crankshaft bearings and seals. I was cruising on the internet and found a NOS crankshaft that has a loose indication that it could work in a cyclone 440. There is no indication on the description wether it would work in a kioritz kec 440 engine though. The only information thats given is a part number AM53976. I couldnt find a parts manual to locate any part numbers. Just based on that information, does anyone think that the NOS crankshaft would work in my engine. Sorry i wish i could give more information.

If it is the one on Ebay, plan on replacing the outer seals even tho there are new seals on the crank.

Thanks for the replys so far guys.. Yes it is the one on ebay. The outter seals dont bother me so much, as long as i dont have to go and do the middle seal as well.. thats the tricky one lol.
