Wtb: comet spider tool

Post by largecar04 »

Anybody got the spider tools 219795a and 215723a they want to part with? Or does anyone recommend the tapered half tool 213965a instead of the base block?

I have been using a bad crank pto end with clutch bolt, in the vice. The Spider tool from Dennis Kirk. DK also sells the Sno Stuff vice holding portion.

Matt's parts here are my first choice but I have had, not perfect but good success buying older sled parts and tools from DK in the past. Great web site and speedy delivery.

I like everything I've purchased from this source BUT the secret is a real good 6" (at least) vice.

The tapered tool works good for me. Just need to hold it from turning. I welded a 3/4 drive socket to a piece of angle iron to keep it from turning in vise
