Re: biggest liquidator collection
Hudziak had an excellent collection back then with around 5 Liquidators and a 340/s or two.
Somehow three of the sleds in that picture ended up in Fort Worth...

My Dator is from Mikes collection looks to be the one in the middle next to the one in pinstripes. Hey Joe what do the Texans think of your sled collection? Shannon
Re: biggest liquidator collection
It would be nice to see that 440 liquidator top end from the biggest collector in Texas sit in that 440 chassis !!!
Re: biggest liquidator collection
Was there ever a published HP rating for the 440 Dator?

I was told HP wasn't that much more than 340 version; this is a big reason it didn't go to production.

Hi Shannon,buck43 wrote:Hey Joe what do the Texans think of your sled collection? Shannon
Most of my nieghbors think its odd I have sleds down here, but there are others that also have new and vintage sleds in the area. Mike Bohannon has stopped by a few times, and he lives right here in Fort Worth. I even hauled two sleds down from his Dad's place in Wyoming last year.
During last years' ice storm I had the chance to introduce a few of the locals to snowmobiling. My one coworker liked it so much that his family rented sleds on their annual ski trip to Colorado that year, and plan to do it again this year.
As for the 440 Liquidator HP, I also heard it was not a powerhouse and would have have been competative with enduro or oval sleds of the era.

Hey! In the picture of Mike's collection, I may have the one with the pin stripes, or at least its close twin. Mine has the "Gang Green" on the hood but no pin strips. I bought mine about four or five years ago from a guy in Spirit Lake, IA. He had only had it a couple of years. According to Jesse it was originally owned by B F Meusel of Galena, IL. Here's a pic of the front end.
