Need Paint code for JD295S
Sam - I am needing the same information. There is a post, started by Flames4555, on a paint code for Mean Green. I bought a quart of this blend, but found it was not a good match to a well perserved section of paint on my 295/s tunnel.
My next plan of attack was to take the tunnel over to my local PPG supplier and have them match it using their hi-tech camera. One thing I need to find out is, will this system work on paint with metal flake in it?
If any of you guys have more info on this subject, please send it our way!
Thank you

Here's what I got a few years back for colors for the 295/S. This was taken from underneath the rubber foot pads with a computerized paint camera in 2003.
I think this is a PPG Paint, but I'm not sure

MATT, CAN WE PUT THIS IN THE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS PART?
Thanks and good luck. Let me know which, or both of these are correct.

Ivy Bronze metalic was a perfect match on my 340/s sleds . I always thought that was the same color used on the 295/s and Cyclone. Maybe not . My mistake, Sorry about that.

Flames - my local paint shop might have mixed the paint a bit different than what you sprayed on your Cyclone. Whatever the case, your sled looked great in the pics you posted! Thanks guys for all the input.

Yet another thing that constantly amazes me is how, if I open it up, some of the old sled paint is still useable! The touchup pens especially altho how a spray can can still work all these years later is a mystery to me. John Deere quality I guess!
I well remember trying to get RID of all the old sled paint! We made people paint their gates, corrals, toolboxes, anything at all to get that old paint sold. Same with the touchup pens, we must have had 25 of each of the touchups left laying around.
What idiots we were! I managed to save a few but sure wish I had the others back now.
Same with the bicycle paint. Rich, remember Sail White? lol
