Finally Scored a Piece of Memoribilia...

Post by JoeRainville »

Hey Guys,

For years I have bid on, and lost, several of the "Liquifire Cools It" ice buckets. I have not seen one come up on Evil-Bay in quite a while, but finally this last week, another one showed up. After something like 15 years of missing them, I finally won the darn auction for one.

The added cool part is that Deere used the same picture on the promotional outdoor billboard. I was fortunate enough to buy that years ago from one of the former co-founders of this site.

Later Liquidator,
-Joe

Hey Joe I saw that too but it says Made in China on the bottom so it is a knockoff.

Sorry. :silenced:

Well if it is the dryer, then obviously everything is okay. Right? But if it is the washer. Well ..........

Funny, I guess I never looked at the background of the Evil Bay pic's that closely. The chunk of carpet on the washer does look kind of funny though.

It's currently placed in a display cabinet with some other Deere snowmobile memorabilia:

This week I found another odd thing I had not seen before: "Beautiful Bodygards" shopping bags. They were found on EvilBay of course:

Looks like its going to be a good year for memorabilia. I got a call from my friend Tim in WI asking me if I was interested in some Deere items. Needless to say I jumped on the offer. Bob Anderson of the HoF was able to grab them and bring them to the Classic Sled Roundup.

First up is a Liquifire cut away poster from either 76 or 77. As Don noticed, the pan sides are flat above the spindle like a 77, but the clutch has cover and it has the molded grouser bar track like 76. Either way, it's a cool poster:

The other poster is the "Ride the New Breed of Deere" Trailfire poster from around 1980 or so. Jon Bauer reminded me that he was the "model" for this shot, so I might have to have him autograph it sometime:
