I will have a cost after they are made. I have had the ball on this for a short time. I will let you guys now as soon as possible.
The cost will be driven from actual numbers and no estimates. I just don't want to give a price and have some unknown detail missed.
Thanks
Joe

They look GREAT Joe! Thanks so much for taking on this project! I have needed one for some time as it seems no matter how much time I spend moving the engine around, when I tighten it up, it MOVES again. This tool solves that issue and some $50.00 belts too. I will take three like I committed to! See it is priced LOWER than the $150 estimate/guessed at when I did the first post.

For thirteen of you who also asked for this tool, please place your order with Matt soon. Joe (and Matt too) have their own money in this project. So lets please get payment to them ASAP and maybe, just maybe, they will do another project for us!

I did confirm on a current build that this tool will not work for a TR-800 clutch.

JDXSpec posted earlier in this thread that the Sprint/Snow used a different tool.

The pre-orders will go out Monday as my post office wasn't open Friday.

I am scratching my head on this, how do you make a tool like this work for your benefit ?

The engine mounts are not slotted on a1980 + liquifire, where do you adjust ? I guess after building several of these machines I am still learning ?

I can see using the 3/8 square stock for setting the secondary shims between the sheeves.

Open for schooling.....

Paul the useful purpose of the tool for Fire series with 102s is the amount of shimming you do on the primary. There's a good writeup about it in the Fine Tune Manual. As to adjusting fore/aft you don't. It needs to be 11.88" for the Liquifire and I think 11.50 for Sport/Trail ( but could be wrong about that).

Hmmm....well, looks like a good tool for a trailfire or sportfire. I just read the manual and it states to use a 3/8 square stock to use to adjust secondary alignment like I use when shimming. Nothing I can find states using the JDM-81 on a liquifire unless my manual is missing updated info ??
