I just finalized switching insurance companies and there was a miss communication on how they were covered so I am SOL. I thought i had a blanket coverage on them since they were in storage and was going to inventory them on additional. Found out that was not the case and needed them listed individual which I was planning on but did not get done since just switched coverage in last few weeks. Great news.

So hope everyone goes and checks their coverage on their fleets.

My Polaris had some coverage and any personal items I had in there along with my tractor. We will see how it all shakes out but I am putting a itemized list going forward so I know. Will probably be parting out a few to recover the loss.

That's the way my insurance is. Since you can buy individual policies for the sleds they are not covered under my home owners. Any sled I want covered needs to have an active policy, even though they are parked in the 3rd stall of my garage.

Looks like the sleds will just require a few more parts when it comes time to restore them... :bonk:

Those storms went by in in-laws in Ottawa Il. They had damage to their house's roof and the machine shed. They had an enclosed utility trailer flip on its side and slide across the yard!

I'm glad no one was hurt...

I was shocked to hear from my insurance agent that something like a lathe would not be covered in my shop. Their logic is that if it's not used to maintain a home.....Not covered under my homeowners policy.....lawnmower parked in the shop would be covered.

Tell them that the tracks are picked and used for airating the lawn if they are trying to beat things to death as far as payouts go!!. I personally loathe insurance companies myself, but we have to have them...Rob.
