Muffler was installed as well as carb and airbox, fan scoop installed and all new fuel line and filter. New aftermarket throttle cable installed synced with oil pump. Just an FYI the end of the throttle cable that attaches to the throttle lever is not the same size. I had to heat up a flathead screwdriver and melt a bigger area for it to rest in. Seems that it will work just fine. An uncracked dash was installed with a functional tach. I have not considered hooking up the installed hotgrips. She fired with amsoil 50:1 down the cylinders but was not pulling fuel into carb. After many tries of figuring out what was wrong, I pulled the carb and the new needle and seat were sticking. After getting them to work right I filled the float bowl with 50:1 and reinstalled carb. A few pulls and the beast was alive! And she sounds furious! After some tuning she idles and engages to specs and starts on 1 pull. Aligned the track today and mounted the hood. Seat is being done right now at John's. Next is skis. Does anyone have a safe way to remove the dnr sticker off of the hood decal?

I noticed the donor skis were nowhere near identical to the 3 bolt originals so thanks to some members helping identify them they were deemed aftermarket, which is fine for a nice rider they will work good. They got all new hardware from the local hardware store. The bumper got painted as well with new hardware. Hot grips were re hooked up. Handlebars were adjusted down and deer logo re mounted on handlebar block. Gas tank clips reattached, new tailight bulb. All thats left is new wear rods and waiting for the seat from John's.

Nice work! It looks fantastic. My sportfire almost looks that good. I had a problem with the shocks at rwtc. They collapsed. At first, I thought it was because I am a big guy, but they had actually froze. When the shock was warm, it worked perfectly. does anyone know of a good aftermarket that will work? Later Lincoln

Thanks Lincoln, Get some pictures up of your sporty! I haven't checked into replacement ski shocks.

Thanks Todd, Yeah I would like to track down the striper if possible but who knows, he goes by the name of "Creeper" But yes whenever he did the work it was a great job.

The little lady is already looking forward to having the nicest deere in the garage lol
