I tried different types of foam to repair the seat, but the final result will be good anyway.

Today....finally the box from Joe Rainville came to Fredriksberg
The engine can be renovated and the skid complete.

With the engine parts missing I haven't put that much energy on the Sprint, but now I have no excuse....
I just have to finish another sled project first. It's a Yamaha SRV 1982 that I am rebuilding for my youngest daughter. I have mounted a ET340 engine and narrowed the tunnel,skid and track. It's almost ready and then I will start with the Sprintfire engine.

Today I put new bearings in the wheels and mounted them on the skid.
Really nice that the skid is finished and ready

The seat got new foam and now it's time to sew a new cover.

First making a paper template



Then after cutting out the vinyl cover material, it's time for the hard part of the job THE SEWING MACHINE

I'm secure in my manhood, so it's no problem
And I like to do everything myself, so that it's done right


With the skid and seat done, I will soon start with the tunnel and then the front end, hood and engine.
Really hope I will ride the Sprint this winter

You get alot of snow there?

I live in the middle of Sweden and we get about 1 meter (40") of snow here.
The snow is here in the middle of december and the last sled rides is usually in the beginning of april.

Of course some years is different....
And the northern parts of Sweden gets a lot more snow, several meters.

Well Allan, I'm so privileged as to live very close to Cooke City, MT (typical 100" snowpack)!!! Us westerly JD outcasts get buried every year! But we do have to deal with that pesky altitude issue.
