Black Shoe Polish

Maybe I rediscovered something that everyone else already knows. And maybe I will be told that black shoe polish has long term negative effects. However, I decided to shine up the old snow flap on my 1983 Sportfire and 1983 Trailfire, and found that black shoe polish worked excellent and restored the original black appearance. After applying I polished with a dry white cloth to remove all the polish residue. I then tried it on the semi rough gas tank and cubby lid and again was impressed. Thirdly I applied to the rubber coated wired running down the handle bars like the throttle, brake and hand warmers and like the results!
