Shock absorbers

Post by usafrpilot »

Can the rubber bushings be replaced and can the shock cylinders be rebuilt? It looks like the cylinders are pressed together? I assume there are different shocks based on model?

None of the OEM shocks on Deere models are rebuildable but you can replace the bushings.
You can replace the shocks with gas charged rebuildables or aftermarket sealed ones.

Thanks. That's good info. I prefer to preserve an original shock if there still serviceable. Knowing that I can replace the bushings is good news.
