I broke the inner plastic pulls on my spitfire recoil starter..... Anybody know where I can get a replacement??
...heard JD used the same part on a snowblower and it is still available....?? Part number am122187.... However it is expensive so would like confirmation it would work before I go buy it.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

AM122187 is the whole recoil assy for what looks like the Tecumseh engines, so I don't think that's right.

Well actually, I looked it up on JDparts, and I guess it does share parts with Tecumseh. I think you are asking for the "starter dog" in which case:

Thanks guys. Looks like I have found a good used one. The part that broke was the inner plastic pulley that the cord wraps into.
