Replacing recoil rope on my Trailfire
Any tips/tricks to get cover on recoil and still keep all the springs in proper place? Anybody have a DIY video?
Thx

Is your old rope still in place? If so, pull it all the way out and use something to lock the spindle from rewinding. Cut your old rope, feed through your new rope, knot it and remove whatever you used to lock your spindle in place so the new rope can retract. I just did our spitfire like this and it worked like a charm. I bought a 6' length and will probably need to trim some off.

I always just go very slow and take my time in disassembly and assembly so the spring don't come flYing out of its socket.
