Electric problem on spitfire

Post by Bubsy »

I have one last thing to get working on the spitfire, when I got it it lost spark so I unplugged kill switch and got my spark back, bought a universal switch today hooked it up but still have spark all the time? With the kill switch unhooked the key will not shut it off either? Any way of just bypassing the kill switch and use the key! Maybe me key switch is pooched too? Any help would be great!

There are two types of kill switches on the market. Open and closed. You need an open one.

As for not being able to shut the engine off now maybe you did not get the harness connector fully seated or one of the wires pushed out of the connector when you plugged it back in.
