83 Sprintfire bog

Post by ljm »

I have an 83 Sprintfire that has a low end bog. I've been told this is kinda normal. Seems like the clutch engages too early. Does anyone have clutch tuning tips for it?

Thanks
Lloyd

Normally a engagement bog is caused by a lean spot in the carburation. It could be a broken or worn out secondary spring also. Does the bog go away with the track off the ground? Try a shot of gas in the carb when it is bogging.
