Comet 108 EXP part# 216405A, B-1 cam arms, purple spring. I think....
There is a thread on the site to confirm this setup, just do a search. Clutch will have a 30mm tapered bore. Call CPC @ 877.356.0777 on availability as they own the Comet situation.

Re: tr800
The TR was actually the result of a cooperative project between Deere and Comet because the 102 it replaced was never heavy enough to tolerate the hp of the Liquifire. The EXP succeeded the 108C line. If you can locate a 108C of the proper parameters, it would be fine.
Re: tr800
I looked back in the Kawi tech and it was suggested a red spring there, whats the difference between the red and purple springs? If you swap the tr800 out for a 108exp would you run the same secondary and still need a 69170 belt? Thanks Jim
Re: tr800
Looking around longer seems to be the B1 arms are not easy to find either. Lots of talk about different arms and springs. I would think if they reproduce the 69170 belts some people's problems would be solved by having the correct belt to run.

Re: tr800
Regarding the B-1 weights, my rep at Comet recommended these alternatives to me, but I don't know how well it works.
208968A1 – C-2 cam arm (43.7 grams) (4600 RPM engagement with purple spring)
209642A1 – N-1 cam arm (45.5 grams) (4350 RPM engagement with purple spring)
208968A1 – C-2 cam arm (43.7 grams) (4600 RPM engagement with purple spring)
209642A1 – N-1 cam arm (45.5 grams) (4350 RPM engagement with purple spring)

Two sets of springs and arms were in my handwritten notes taken a few years back when researching this setup through CPC. They weren't really up and running by any means at the time, so finding the right parts was sketchy then and appears to be so now. Springs govern engagement rpm in concert with the weights (cam arms) and the matching parameters are way above my ability to decide what's best. I can't believe I even found the scrap of paper used to record the data and it's not exactly complete as it was a phone conversation scribble fest. Whatever was posted at the time is the proper setup. Chuck Moser was looking for guidance if memory serves and I decided to dig up what I could since there are a few EXP clutches lurking here and I was genuinely interested in the Comet situation as an owner. According to the notes made at the time, there are 2 setups: B-1 arms/purple spring or C-2 cam arms/yellow or red spring....that is if I'm doing my forensic note evaluation correctly!

Use the stock secondary and belt regardless of the year of sled.

Re: tr800
The Comet "N" weight works well on a stock Liquifire with the original rear clutch set up.

Re: tr800
I have used the trailfire 440 B weights which I believe are around 45.3g and same profile as the B-1 46g Liquifire weight. And it works pretty good with a purple spring

Re: tr800
All "B" arms should weigh the same. The difference between a B and B-1 is the replaceable bushing in the B-1

Re: tr800
OK cause I thought I saw somewhere that the B weight that the trailfire 440 used was also used for the 56hp CC kit for the liquifire and is just lighter than the B-1 Liquifire weight.
