Picked up a 74 JDX8 today

I had a 74 JDX8 12 years ago and sold it, got one back today :clap:
Has been is a shed for 15 years. Sarted on a bottle and yes the Walbro pumped gas.

Looks good! These are fun sleds, and can be very reliable. How many miles on the clock?

That looks like a nice original. Is that yet another side cover I haven't seen yet? Looks like the air exhaust is open by the engine shroud, but there's an angle over the clutch cover? Unless the image is deceiving. Seems like JD had several different side panels for these sleds, and it just depends what they put on at the factory.

Are you going to restore it, or just a mechanical restoration? Probably can just clean it up, and update whatever needs fixing.

I saw that fan exhust deflector missing or a different style that I had not seen yet and want to know more. SOOO more pics plsssss
